Plate and tube laser cutting

Cutting metals

The best method for cutting different
metals, namely stainless steel, aluminum and steel, is
laser cutting, Lasercuts in 2D and in 3D:

Looking for a custom lasered flat steel, stainless steel or
aluminum with a thickness between 0.1 mm and 20 mm?
Then you have come to the right place.

Customized laser cutting

Based on your technical drawing, we can laser the
dimensions you want.
The maximum sheet size that we can laser cut
is 3000 x 1500 mm.

The metals that are suitable for laser cutting
each have their maximum sheet thicknesses:

– Aluminium: up to 12 mm
– Inox (stainless steel): up to 20 mm
– Steel: up to 20 mm

What is Tube Laser Cutting?

Tube laser cutting is a technique where fiber lasers are used to precisely cut tubes and profiles from metal. This allows for accurate and complex cuts with minimal post-processing.

Advantages of Tube Laser Cutting

  1. Accuracy
Lasers cut with high precision, resulting in high quality and minimal need for finishing.
  2. Speed
The process is fast, so your products are completed more quickly
  3. Minimal Waste
The laser cuts precisely, leading to minimal material loss.
  4. Flexible Design
You can create complex and detailed designs, even in thick materials.
  5. Improved Strength
The smooth cut edges enhance the strength and durability of the product.

What Files Do We Need?

To ensure a smooth production process, we require the following files and information:

  1. File Type
Please provide your file in STEP or IGS format, with one part per STEP or IGS file. If you do not have a 3D program, we can design it for you in consultation with our draftspeople.
  2. File Specifications
Ensure that your design has the correct dimensions and scale (1:1).
  3. Material
Specify the type and thickness of the tube material you wish to use.
De Vroe Metals can laser cut round, square, and rectangular tubes with diameters ranging from 15 mm to 230 mm (both ferrous and non-ferrous metals).
  4. Design or Prototype
Send a sample or drawing if you have one.
  5. Additional Instructions
Include any extra instructions if you have special requirements for finishing or assembly.

How Much Waste is There on a Tube Being Laser Cut?

The waste is minimal. Please consider:

  • 10 millimeters at the beginning of the tube
  • 10 millimeters between pieces
  • 300 millimeters at the end of the tube. This space is required to clamp the tube and cannot be processed.
  • Maximum output length: 4000 mm
