Powder Coating

Steps of powder coating

Pretreatment via a spray tunnel by degreasing the product: This allows
us to improve the adhesion of the paint layer, create better corrosion protection and remove grease and the like. The wet metal pieces are then dried in a pre-drying oven. This is done at a maximum temperature of 120°.

Then we start powder coating:
In electrostatic powder coating, compressed air is used to apply the electrically charged powder particles to the metal, stainless steel or aluminium parts using a gun.

The pieces are baked in an oven at 180° to 200°. The powder particles melt to form a single layer of lacquer with a thickness of between 80 and 120 microns.
After a thorough quality check, the pieces can be packed immediately.

Sizes that De Vroe Metaalbewerking can process in a fully autonomous cycle of our line:

Maximum L 3000 H 1900 with a maximum width of 120 mm

Maximum L 3000 H1700 with a maximum width of 1000 mm

For larger dimensions and for pieces that have to be sandblasted beforehand and metallised, we work together with a permanent partner.
